I study how AI and digital technologies reshape human behavior, social norms, and collective meaning-making.

I am especially interested in what happens when emerging technologies enter social life: how people adapt, how patterns of interaction evolve, and how collective outcomes emerge.

My academic path began with mathematics and statistics before moving into communication and computational social science. That training shaped how I see the social world, not as a collection of isolated individuals, but as a dynamic system in which behavior, information, and relationships continually influence one another. My work draws on large-scale behavioral data, network analysis, experiments, statistical modeling, natural language processing, and other computational methods to study these dynamics.

Outside research, I share my life with my cat and enjoy spending time in museums. I am drawn to objects, exhibitions, and stories that offer new ways of seeing how people understand the world and one another.

How do humans and intelligent machines shape one another, and what kinds of collective outcomes emerge from their interaction?

I study human–AI systems as complex adaptive social systems, focusing on how people, bots, and algorithms develop interdependent roles, behaviors, and norms across online communities.

Computational Narratives & Information Dynamics

How do narrative structures shape information dynamics in social systems?

I study how the organization of narratives interacts with people’s prior beliefs and social environments, influencing how information is interpreted, adopted, transformed, and diffused over time.

Online Communities & Digital Behavior

How do online communities shape, and become shaped by, the behavior of their members?

I study how individual tendencies, social relationships, community norms, and platform contexts interact to produce collective patterns of participation and deviance over time.
